I'm relatively new to the anime reviewing scene; I
made my first video, Lava Buster #1: Afro Samurai in mid Dec-2010, and
have been making anime reviews ever since. I'm rather harsh and negative
(but always fair and honest) with all my videos, and I mainly focus on
the writing aspects
(plot/setting/characters/development/tension/consistency/mechanics/etc)
of said series (because I am a writer, currently working on one of my
novels).
I will delve into animation, voice acting, music, and other areas (once in a while) if they're worth mentioning (and able to enhance the overall experience for the viewer, as with my Ghost in the Shell 2: Innocence video praising the voice acting). While the majority of my reviews are aimed at anime movies/series, I will also review non-anime (in other words, animated movies made outside of Japan...like my review of Renaissance, the 2006 French sci-fi noir film) installments, and even online series (maybe in the future). With every video, I aim to improve my craft, talent, and delivery, because to me, it is a trial-and-error process where I'm always learning.
